The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is the state agency that focuses solely on policies, programs, and services for people with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or any combination of these. As Georgia’s public safety net, DBHDD operates six field offices and five hospitals throughout the state within three program areas: behavioral health, developmental disabilities and hospital services.
The main office for DBHDD is located in downtown Atlanta.
Job Description
Job Title: ASO Manager
Pay Grade: M
Job Summary:
We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Manager, Administrative Services Organization (ASO). This position is in the Office of ASO Coordination within the Division of Strategy, Technology and Performance, and reports to the Director, ASO Coordination.
The Office of ASO Coordination manages the DBHDD's largest infrastructure contract. This multifaceted contract supports the execution of multiple enterprise-wide functions that ensure proper administration of DBHDD services, including oversight of authorizations/claims, quality reviews, and provider network management. This contract also includes management of the Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL), Georgia’s 24/7 statewide crisis call center.
This position will be responsible for managing/coordinating organization-wide efforts to ensure:
· The ASO is operating cross-functionally as designed
· enhancement projects are developed and managed using best practices
· ensure ASO is meeting strategic objectives
· outcomes are measured and reported in a meaningful manner
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Provide assistance for the contract management of a multi-year, multi-million-dollar contract
· Participate, lead or facilitate information gathering sessions needed to decision and implement enhancements
· Provide subject matter expertise for the enterprise on the ASO, the contract requirements and the planning and development of ASO’s future state
· Ensure the team approach is implemented and consistent within all ASO activities
· Analyze and interpret data and look for trends in data and reporting
· Oversee the completion of all projects assigned
· Monitor performance measures, performance guarantees and contract deliverables
· Ensure timely contract amendment and payment, coordinating with the finance office
· Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional counterparts
· Oversee the implementation of action plans designed to improve overall outcomes
· Timely development of plans that implement follow through on assigned projects
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in a social science, business, or public administration field and 3 plus years' experience
· 4 -7 year as project or program management
· Proven success in program/project management

· Excellent facilitator skills
· Excellent writing, analytical and time management skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Ability to handle stressful situations with poise and assertiveness
· Excellent organizational skills and highly detail oriented
· Comfort, willingness and ability to learn, adopt, and utilize new technology and software skills
