Job Summary:

The Administrative Operations Specialist is responsible for a variety of administrative support functions with complex Academic Affairs processes. Typical administrative functions may include the catalog system,student learning system, AA Committee, microcredentials and other related processes. This Specialist supports Executive Director of Curriculum and Academic Affairs projects.


Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Assist with planning, review, revision, and/or implementation of the catalog, student learning outcomes, microcredentials, Rick Perkins Award functions and Academic Affairs projects.
• Provide technical assistance and support to others on catalog system, student learning outcome system and other related systems.
• Provide professional level assistance to Academic Affairs to organize, prepare, maintain and update information on various systems/platforms.
• Prepare timelines, reports and other documents as requested using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Maintain and monitor required documentation and budget expenses.
• Serve as a liaison with other departments and internal/external customers.
• Other Duties as Assigned

• Skill in planning and organizing projects.
• Knowledge of Academic Affairs procedures.
• Ability to prepare reports using tasks and resources.
• Ability to gather and present data in appropriate formats.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Skills in interpersonal relations and in dealing with internal/external customers.
• Decision making and problem-solving skills.


Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office 
equipment and technologies.


Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time administrative position. Workload is Monday-Friday days with possible evening and weekends based on need.


Travel:
Travel to other campuses is a possibility for meetings, trainings, professional development, etc.


Required Education and Experience:
• Associate’s degree 
*and* 
• Three (3) years related work experience
Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis


Preferred Education and Experience: 
• Bachelor’s degree;
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in post‐secondary education or related field;
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Knowledge Management System (KMS), Watermark platforms, and Banner software;
• Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills;
