Adjunct Instructor- Plumbing & Pipefitting Technology
Employment Terms: This job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in the Engineering Construction Manufacturing and Design Division that reports to the Program Director – Air Conditioning Technology.
Minimum Requirements (Job Code 10317) – Diploma in Plumbing & Pipefitting Technology or related diploma/ degree from an accredited institution or trade school. GA certified Construction Industry Licensing Board (GCILB) unrestricted Master Plumber License or CBILB Journeyman Plumber. Three (3) years out of the past seven (7) years of experience in the field. Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications – Associate degree in Plumbing & Pipefitting Technology or related field from an accredited intuition or trade school. Directly related teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Online teaching experience.

Job Description - Provides instruction in the theory and practical applications of Plumbing & Pipefitting Technology in accordance with state academic standards by preparing and delivering lecture and lab-based coursework in classroom and laboratory environments that closely simulate industry settings, using current technologies and standardized syllabi. Assesses and documents student progress in a timely manner based on established grading requirements; prepares lesson plans and maintains all required instructional and administrative records. Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, program certification and accreditation requirements, and completes required professional development and annual Hazardous Materials Training. Instructs in face-to-face or blended formats as needed, meets with students and colleagues to support instructional programs, assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts, and demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and responsiveness to supervisory direction within the college’s organizational structure.
