Adjunct Instructor - Introduction to Computers
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic candidate for its Adjunct Instructor (Intro to Computers) position in the Business and Public Safety Technology Division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s Main campus, just South of downtown Atlanta, Ga.
Job Description:
Under general supervision of the Dean and Program Chair of the Business and Public Safety Technology Division, the Adjunct Intro to Computers Instructor will be a part-time (adjunct) faculty member that teaches Introduction to Computer Literacy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students develop essential computer skills. This position involves creating and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the overall success of the students. Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis. Day and evening hours may be available.
Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Delivering course instruction.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams. Provide constructive feedback to support student growth.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. Address student needs and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
- Preparing and maintaining all required documentation and administrative reports.
- Meeting with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues impacting student progress.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
- Must possess and demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent oral and written communication skills, well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Ability to multi-task and perform administrative duties for class management.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and internet technologies.
- Prior teaching experience in computer literacy or related subjects. Experience in a technical college setting is a plus.
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
