Adjunct Faculty - Law Enforcement

Georgia Piedmont Technical College seeks Part Time/Adjunct Instructors for the Basic Law Enforcement program. Instructors will provide theory and practical instruction to a level sufficient for students to develop the skill necessary to come the Basic Law Enforcement Certification Technical Certificate of Credit.
The individuals are responsible for: (this list is not intended to be exhaustive)
- Instructing students, developing program syllabi, goals and objectives;
- Evaluating students' progress in attaining goals and objectives;
- Maintaining program certification requirements, as appropriate;
- Preparing and maintaining all required documentation and administrative reports;
- Maintaining knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by attending staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences;
- Ensuring safety and security requirements are met in the classroom and lab environment;
- Working diligently to maximize student placements in this field or related fields.
Duties include a flexible schedule of lecture and laboratory instruction. The Adjunct Instructor must be willing to work evenings and/or split teaching shifts that might require split teaching days between campus locations. Must fully embrace the responsibility for maintaining an acceptable number of students within this program and also work diligently to maximize positive student outcomes.
