GIS Specialist / Database Admin - CFMO Marietta
This position is in the Planning, Programming and Real Property (PPRP) Directorate of the Construction and Facilities Management Office of the Georgia Army National Guard and the Georgia Department of Defense. This position will be managing spatial databases of State of Georgia Property for GAARNG and perform analysis of our facilities supporting Army readiness. Secondary responsibilities will be IT support including database administration including but not limited to SharePoint and Teams.
Duties and responsibilities:
Manage GIS data CFMO on State of Georgia owned property.
- Send in required Common Installation Picture Data to Army National Guard Bureau (ARNG)
- Maintain GIS data in Spatial Standards for Facilities and Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE)
- Conduct 20% inventory validation of Georgia National Guard Property each year. This is a physical validation between the Pride real property database, GIS database with what is at each site.
- Update site maps based on construction and demolition projects.
- Special Maps projects as requested.
- Data Analysis as requested.
- Support Builder Assessments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by CFMO Plans and Programing supervisory personnel.
- Administer GIS Portal. Manage updates and Access request
- Answer various data calls from various departments within GA-ARNG and ARNG
- Responsibility for the accountability of Real Property, production of the FISP, and any Real Property auditing Actions
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the following:
- SDSFIE
- Database Administration
- GIS Portal
- Master Planning Experience
- Building Space Utilization,
Interpret Surveys
- Interpret Aerial Imagery,
- Spatial Analysis
