Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for the Full-Time Program Coordinator (Early Childhood Care & Education) position in the Business & Public Service Technology, Early Childhood Care & Education department, of the Academic and Student Affairs division.  This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s Main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta. 

 

Under general supervision of the Dean of Business & Public Service Technologies, the Full-Time Program Coordinator (ECCE) provides academic, instructional, and administrative leadership to ensure program quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. The ECCE Program Coordinator ensures alignment with TCSG curriculum standards, SACS COC accreditation requirements, Georgia Standards of Excellence, Georgia Pre-K Content Standards, Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS), and Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) regulations while modeling effective teaching techniques for department faculty.

 

 

Job duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:

 

·       Lead the planning, delivery, assessment, and continuous improvement of the ECCE program in accordance with TCSG policies and SACS COC standards.

·       Ensure curriculum, student learning outcomes, and instructional practices align with TCSG curriculum standards, Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE), Georgia Pre-K Content Standards, GELDS, and DECAL requirements, as applicable.

·       Oversee curriculum mapping, scheduling of classes, and assessment processes to ensure program coherence, workforce relevance, and achievement of stated program goals.

·       Coordinate catalog reviews for programs in collaboration with the Dean and Institutional Effectiveness office.

·       Review needs for equipment, supplies, and instructional materials and recommend purchases.

·       Work with program faculty & industry partners in the curriculum review process and recommend curriculum changes to the Dean.

·       Represent the program and the college at professional organizations and interact with internal and external groups to promote the program.

·       Advise students on career opportunities, suggests alternative courses of action and take a leadership role in advising students about admissions and graduation requirements.

·       Conduct and document ongoing program review and assessment using data related to enrollment, retention, completion, and employment outcomes to support evidence-based improvement.

·       Observe and document effectiveness of adjunct faculty and ensures the administration of and review quarterly course evaluations by students

·       Recruit, interview, and supervise adjunct ECCE faculty in compliance with institutional and accreditation requirements and coordinate observation of adjunct faculty; as well as conduct adjunct faculty evaluations and provide information to the Dean to aid in full-time faculty evaluation process.

·       Ensure faculty credentials, syllabi, instructional materials, and assessment practices meet accrediting standards.

·       Facilitate faculty meetings, mentoring, and professional development focused on instructional effectiveness, assessment, and student success.

·       Address all aspects of verifying program learning outcomes, including identification, review, revision, measurement and analysis of said outcome.

·       Promote a student-centered learning environment that supports academic achievement, career readiness, and credentialing pathways.

·       Collaborate with advising, retention, and support services to address student performance and persistence.

·       Support work-based learning experiences, practicums, internships, and partnerships that align with workforce needs.

·       Deal initially with student academic concerns.

·       Develop, maintain, and document an active ECCE Advisory Committee in accordance with TCSG & accreditation guidelines.

·       Maintain advisory committee rosters, meeting schedules, agendas, and minutes.

·       Identify qualified individuals willing to serve on advisory committees.

·       Facilitate regular meetings to review curriculum relevance, workforce trends, and program outcomes.

·       Document and implement advisory committee recommendations as part of the continuous improvement process.

·       Maintain partnerships with early childhood providers, school systems, Head Start, Georgia Pre-K programs, and community agencies to support student placement and program relevance.

·       Ensure compliance with TCSG, SACS COC, and applicable state and federal regulations.

·       Maintain accurate program documentation, assessment reports, faculty records, and course files for audits and accreditation reviews.

·       Assist with budgeting, scheduling, textbook adoption, equipment planning, and resource allocation; and

·       Perform additional duties, as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Must possess and demonstrate the following:

 

·       Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND Two (2) years related work experience •

·       Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood standards, workforce requirements, and instructional best practices.

·       Experience with DECAL, Georgia Pre-K, Head Start, or childcare licensing requirements.

·       Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:

 

·       Master’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a closely related field.

·       Minimum of three (3) or more years of teaching experience in early childhood education or a related field.

·       Experience in higher education, technical college instruction, or academic leadership.

·       Supervisory or program management experience.

·       Knowledge of Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) policies and procedures.

·       Supervisory or program management experience
