Employment Terms: This is a full-time benefitted, FLSA Exempt position in the Division of Economic Development that reports to the Executive Director of Workforce Development

Salary$54,080

Schedule – Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am -4pm. This position is located on the Lawrenceville campus but may occasionally work at the Alpharetta campus

Minimum Requirements (Job Code 11130) Associate's Degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education*and* Three (3) years of related experience.

Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-by-year basis

Preferred Qualifications

·  Experience supporting computer, IT, or technology-based training or certification programs

·  Familiarity with industry-recognized technology certifications (e.g., IT, digital skills, software, or technical credentials)

·  Experience using student information or class management systems (e.g., Modern Campus,  Banner, ACEware)

 

Job Description - Under general supervision, supports students in the registration process for computer training, technology-based certifications including artificial intelligence (AI) and other industry-recognized IT and digital credentials. Ensures all class materials are supplied for educational activities. Using appropriate software, performs class management functions; enters data. Prepares classrooms in various buildings throughout the campus. Provides systems support for economic development/continuing education team members. Assists managers by conducting comprehensive, research to generate data reports and responds to requests for information.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Percentage of Time:

1.       Coordinates administrative oversight for computer and technology-based certification programs, including IT, digital skills, and industry-recognized credentials.

  1. Supports scheduling, registration, documentation, and reporting requirements for certification courses and exams.
  2. Serves as a point of contact for students, instructors, and vendors related to technology-based certification programs.
  3. Ensures certification records, rosters, outcomes, and completion data are accurately maintained in Modern Campus, Banner, ACEware, or other designated systems.
  4. Assists with compliance, reporting, and data tracking related to certification programs, including workforce and grant-funded initiatives.

3.  Using appropriate software, performs class management functions; enters data from forms, records, reports and/or other sources. (Performed by all incumbents)

 

1.    Correctly enters class changes, cancellations, new classes, registrations, rosters and certifications for all computer classes and technology certifications as well as other areas.

2.    Investigates and corrects data that appears inconsistent or erroneous.

3.    Completes data entry accurately and in a timely manner.

4.  Prepares class materials and ensures a quality learning environment for instruction.  

 

1.    Prepares or assists in the preparation of instructional materials, overheads, audio/visual/computer equipment according to the needs of the instructor.

2.    Ensures supplies are available to support activities.

 

3.    Follows organizational guidelines to appropriately order and receive training materials/aids, class rosters, certificates, etc.

4.    Makes or modifies instructional materials as specified by the instructor/teacher and within established timelines.

5.    Stores unused material in the designated storage areas and properly disposes of unserviceable items.

5.  Provides administrative/clerical support such as incidental typing and filing. (Performed by all incumbents)

1.    Proofreads and edits documents or materials, making corrections and revisions as necessary to ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity of content and proper spelling, grammar and punctuation.

        6.  Assists managers by conducting comprehensive, research, gathering narrative and numerical data in order to generate data reports and responds to requests for information. (Performed by all incumbents)

 

1.    Researches and collects data accurately and thoroughly from reports, files, databases and other sources.

2.    Compiles information for the timely preparation of reports (Modern Campus, ACE ware and BANNER) and distributes to appropriate individuals within established time frames.

3.    Willingly provides computer assistance to other areas in regard to contracts, customer registrations/billings and problem solving.
