The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) oversees the day-to-day operation of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police and the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVE). We currently have an opening for a Human Resources Tech 2 in the Human Resources Division.
The Human Resources Tech 2 plays a key role in the Human Resources Division. This position is responsible for entering and processing transactions and compiling and filing employment reports. Duties also include researching and furnishing information to authorized persons. This is a key support role to the employees of the department and outside organizations requiring assistance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Completes employment entry processes for new employees.
- Coordinates hiring processes, ensuring all required forms are completed and all clearances are obtained.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for job candidates, providing timely communication, guidance, and support throughout the recruitment process.
- Ensures candidates receive accurate information, answers inquiries, and facilitates a positive candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding.
- Reviews and processes personnel and/or position transactions.
- Schedules interviews, conference calls and medical and psychological assessments for candidates.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel).
- Previous Human Resources Experience
- Effective communication skills
