OVERVIEW

The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) employs approximately 1600 employees and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division (MCCD). GSP troopers investigate traffic crashes and enforce traffic and criminal laws on the state's roads. Capitol Police officers prevent and detect criminal acts and enforce traffic regulations throughout Capitol Hill. MCCD officers conduct safety inspections of commercial motor vehicles and inspect highway shipments of hazardous materials.

The mission of the Georgia Department of Public Safety is to work cooperatively with all levels of government to provide a safe environment for residents and visitors to our state. Although focused primarily on the enforcement of traffic laws and investigation of traffic crashes, the Department of Public Safety will support the efforts of all public safety agencies to reduce crime, apprehend those who commit them, and respond to natural and manmade disasters. The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking candidates for the position of Food Service Employee at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

Salary Range:

$26,646.85  -  $32,500.00

Job Description:

Prepares, heats and finishes cooking food items and serves customers. Receives and disburses money in a food service establishment. Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware. 

Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:

 

·       Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware

·       Cleans, peels, slices and trims foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances

·       Conducts or assists with food supply requisitions and sanitation and maintenance inspections

·       Observes safety, sanitation and health rules and standards

·       Portions food or places it directly on plates for service to facility residents, employees or patrons and packages takeout foods

·       Prepares foods

·       Receives payment for food items

·       Replenishes supplies of food, condiments, and equipment at steam tables and service bars

·       Stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage

·       Takes customers' orders and serves customers

·       Unpacks and stores supplies, raw and prepared food products.
