OVERVIEW

The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) employs approximately 1600 employees and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division (MCCD). GSP troopers investigate traffic crashes and enforce traffic and criminal laws on the state's roads. Capitol Police officers prevent and detect criminal acts and enforce traffic regulations throughout Capitol Hill. MCCD officers conduct safety inspections of commercial motor vehicles and inspect highway shipments of hazardous materials.

The mission of the Georgia Department of Public Safety is to work cooperatively with all levels of government to provide a safe environment for residents and visitors to our state. Although focused primarily on the enforcement of traffic laws and investigation of traffic crashes, the Department of Public Safety will support the efforts of all public safety agencies to reduce crime, apprehend those who commit them, and respond to natural and manmade disasters. McIntosh Trail Community Service Board

Under general supervision, performs a variety of general secretarial, clerical and administrative support functions/ processes or a few specialized or essential clerical functions in support of a unit or office and related personnel. May enter data and / or process documents and records. The work includes operating standard office equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of a clerical or administrative supervisor.

Responsibilities

·        Processes facility bills and deposits.

·        Maintains monthly Spreadsheet to ensure all bills are received and paid timely.

·        Enters new consumer's billing information (maintains and updates authorizations) in Essentia system.

·        Reviews error reports and forwards to staff/supervisor  reponsible for corrections; confirms errors were corrected or notifies Director.

·        Completes monthly Clerical Peer Audits. Keeps a spreadsheet for the center discharged Individals and annually prepares and processes chart destruction.

·        Request maintenance for the building and equipment as needed.

·        Accurately maintains petty cash account /consumer activity funds/Coke fund/ Special Funds.

·        Purchase and inventory supplies as needed for the facility and vending.

·        Reviews Vehicle daily Utilization report monthly.

·        Reviews the center GIA report, runs reports to check for errors, complies the spreadsheet and enters on the network drive.

·        Reviews & corrects DS consumer payroll, bills contractors.

·        Sends monthly invoices to private pay individuals,  follows up as needed.

·        Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

·        Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND One year of management of subordinate supervisors in a human service delivery program OR Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND Two years of management of subordinate supervisors in a human service delivery program OR Related certification AND One year of management of subordinate supervisors in a human service delivery program OR Two years of experience at the lower level Mgr 1, Social Svcs (SSM010) or position equivalent.
