OVERVIEW

The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) employs approximately 1600 employees and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division (MCCD). GSP troopers investigate traffic crashes and enforce traffic and criminal laws on the state's roads. Capitol Police officers prevent and detect criminal acts and enforce traffic regulations throughout Capitol Hill. MCCD officers conduct safety inspections of commercial motor vehicles and inspect highway shipments of hazardous materials.

Salary: $30,700.42 to $47,094.70

 

The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) oversees the day-to-day operation of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police Division (CPD) and the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVE). We currently have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for Customer Service Rep 1 in Fleet Services.

 

Fleet Services offer a full array of services including planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles.  

 

Critical Responsibilities:

Is responsible for a variety of general office duties including inquiries over the telephone and in person, word processing and retrieval, maintaining accurate and detailed records and verifying accuracy of information. Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

A typical workday includes, but is not limited to:

·         Greets and serves as the first point of contact for fleet-related inquiries.

·         Prepares vehicle work orders and inspection forms, and coordinates vehicle maintenance through MCM and Holman fleet management systems.

·         Responds and assist employees with vehicle assignments, reservations, maintenance requests, and service updates.

·         Communicate repair status and pool vehicle availability.

·         Process invoices, service documentation, and related paperwork as assigned.

·         Provides professional and courteous service to all customers.

·         Provide clerical support and other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in a government, public-sector, or fleet-related environment.
  • Experience working with internal customers across multiple departments.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle terminology and maintenance processes.
