OVERVIEW

The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) employs approximately 1600 employees and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division (MCCD). GSP troopers investigate traffic crashes and enforce traffic and criminal laws on the state's roads. Capitol Police officers prevent and detect criminal acts and enforce traffic regulations throughout Capitol Hill. MCCD officers conduct safety inspections of commercial motor vehicles and inspect highway shipments of hazardous materials.

The mission of the Georgia Department of Public Safety is to work cooperatively with all levels of government to provide a safe environment for residents and visitors to our state. Although focused primarily on the enforcement of traffic laws and investigation of traffic crashes, the Department of Public Safety will support the efforts of all public safety agencies to reduce crime, apprehend those who commit them, and respond to natural and manmade disasters. In all of our endeavors, DPS personnel will remain committed to following our core beliefs of trust, fortitude, compassion, and professionalism.

Under supervision, the Business & Quality Assurance Analyst responsible for developing test plans, executing test scripts, identifying defects, and ensuring applications meet business requirements and standards for Georgia Access for Business.

Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing systems, enhancements, and integrations.

Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, user acceptance, integration, performance, and security testing.

Document system functionality, user scenarios, and known issues to support ongoing maintenance and training efforts.

Identify, document, and track defects; verify resolution and ensure issues are addressed before deployment.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project teams to clarify requirements and support effective system design.

Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality-related feedback.

Maintain documentation of testing procedures, results, and quality assurance standards.

Support the creation and improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.

Conduct root-cause analysis to identify patterns, recurring issues, or opportunities for system improvements.

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of related experience.
