Job Title:  State Opioid Response Program Specialist- Atlanta

Pay Grade: L

Workplace: Hybrid- 1 day per week in office

Travel: 30-40%

Job Summary:

 Description of duties and responsibilities:  Provide project oversight and direction for Federal grant funded activities. Ensure the project is compliant with all federal requirements and serve as liaison between SAMHSA, Department of Behavioral Health, and community providers.  Complete required financial and programmatic reports. Participate in local, state and federal meetings, teleconferences, webinars, etc. Monitor project progress, including conducting site visits to community providers and reviewing monthly programmatic and fiscal reporting forms submitted by community providers. Process invoices for payment and provide technical assistance to community providers.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinates project activities and perform analysis of operational issues.
  • Participates in development of long-term plans, programs, and strategy.
  • Directs the development of standards and procedures to be used in project development and implementation according to grant requirements.
  • Plans, develops, implements, and maintains a system designed to coordinate and provide continuous support for programs activities.
  • Assures that services are planned and implemented in accordance with all relevant laws, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Oversees the work of the providers working on the grant to provide an environment that fosters the dignity, rights, and privacy of patients.
  • Conducts frequent site inspections to supplement evaluation procedures.

*Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.
