The Georgia Department of Labor is currently seeking applicants to fill multiple UI Field Tax Agent I positions in the Tax Administration Unit.
The selectees will have the option to work from a preferred District Tax Office.

The UI Field Tax Agent I, under broad supervision, completes duties relating to delinquent tax collections, blocked unemployment insurance claims, and tax liabilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and initiate cost-effective methods of collecting delinquent taxes and tax reports.
Conduct hazardous and regular Child Labor investigations to enforce Child Labor compliance.
Investigate, research and verify wage and employment information to determine unemployment benefit monetary eligibility and employer liability.
Contact employing units or potential employing units to gather information to determine liability in accordance with Georgia Employment Security Law.
Educate employers on tax reporting requirements, worker classification laws/rules, tax and wage reporting options, and unemployment security law compliance regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college
Major in Business Administration, Accounting, Law or related field
Experience encompassing regulatory responsibility including interpretation and enforcement of regulatory statues
Experience with Collections
Knowledge of UI Tax Liability
Microsoft Word and Excel
