This position will be located in the Tifton, GA region.

The selected candidate must reside in this area or be willing to relocate.

 

Position Overview:

1.      This is temporary or hourly paid work performing general support services.

2.      The position will be located in the Plant Protection office.

3.      A maximum of 29 hrs. per week is not eligible for benefits

 

Job Description:

    1. Assists with yellow-legged hornet eradication
      • Inventories trapping supplies and assists with managing inventory; provides updates to appropriate staff
      • May assist with placing orders for supplies

 

    1.  Under direct supervision, performs a wide range of office administration duties.
      • Maintains inspection records and other documents for plant protection programs
      • Responds accordingly to requests from field staff and the public

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·        High School diploma /GED

·        One (1) year of documented experience with administration duties and general office work experience.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants, who, in addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, possess knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:

·        One (1) year of college coursework in agriculture, horticulture, biological sciences, IT, or business/accounting.

 

·        Working knowledge of Windows computer operating systems and applications
