Job Summary:

Under broad supervision, receives, stores and issues materials, equipment and other items. Performs manual and clerical tasks involved in the distribution of supplies and materials.

  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision

  • Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas

  • May supervise and/or direct the work of others

  • Delivers and transports supplies

  • Issues and/or sells supplies or merchandise

  • Maintain vendor files

  • Maintains a listing of available surplus property available

  • Marks items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment

  • Packs and unpacks items to be stocked in stockrooms and warehouses

  • Receives and counts items, and records data manually or using a computer

  •  Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas

  • Verifies inventory by comparing to physical counts of stock

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in shipping and receiving; or one (1) year of experience at the lower-level Supply Warehouse Clerk 2 (FES011) or position equivalent.
