Job Summary:
Under supervision, may plan, organize, or coordinate the activities of an assigned program. Reviews, monitors and ensure compliance with assigned program area's policies and procedures.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive PREA audits and prepare detailed findings to ensure alignment with DJJ policy.
- Collect, compile, and evaluate data from documentation and tracking/reporting systems (OQA, JTS, Infinite Campus).
- Prepare DJJ facilities for PREA audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Develop and prepare the agency’s annual PREA reports.
- Complete critical annual reports, including the SSV report and Governor’s Assurance report.
- Gather and analyze data related to non-compliance and areas of concern.
- Conduct follow-up reviews on corrective actions to assess progress.
- Assist in the development of corrective action plans in response to audit findings.
- Make strategic recommendations to management for operational improvements.
- Deliver practical training to facility staff on relevant procedures and compliance standards.
- Provide individualized technical assistance to support implementation of best practices.
- Participate in audit standards formulation and define documentation requirements.
- Contribute to departmental policy analysis, development, and revision as needed.
- Maintain professional and technical expertise through ongoing training and policy review.
- Complete special projects and assignments as designated by leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED AND three (3) years of job-related experience.
- Or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Compliance Specialist 1 (RCP060) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require a certification or licensure. Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
- Position will require statewide travel.
