The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) is currently seeking a IT Specialist – in the Office of Information Technology.
The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) currently manages the delivery of IT infrastructure services to 89 Executive Branch agencies and managed network services to more than 1,200 state and local government entities. IT infrastructure services encompass mainframes, servers, service desk, end user computing, disaster recovery and security. Managed network services include the state’s wide and local area networks, voice, cable and wiring, and conferencing services.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under supervision will be responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate business processes, upgrade or modify existing systems and review system-wide capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. Manages all agency issued cell phones, including procurement, surplus/disposal, inventory, and escalations.
Responsibilities:
● Assist the lead with system implementations, upgrades and maintenance activities as needed for the EUC Projects.
● Assist with gathering requirements from business owners
● Translates business requirements into functional specifications and designs.
● Serves as a liaison between end-users and Service Providers
● Assist with testing new functionality, installations, or upgrades
● Train end user staff
● Submit and track service requests as appropriate.
● Communicate updates with respective staff as appropriate
● Assist end users in procuring EUC devices
● Participate in training sessions related to processes and procedures.
● Participate in test pilot groups and assist in acquiring testers for various technology initiatives.
● Assist with assessing technology initiatives and EUC issues to assist end users.
● Maintain inventory system and perform audits
● Okta email administration and support
● Maintain active directory administration and maintenance
● Assist with conducting analysis, including planning, designing, and evaluating a variety of information technology tools
● Manage work tickets within the internal ticketing system
● Participate in IT projects to drive technological efficiencies
● Mobile device support
● Performs all other duties as assigned.

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Five (5) years of information technology experience across multiple areas to include but not limited to; computer hardware, server software, networking, telecommunications, computer support, database analysis, data security and IT platform/infrastructure OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one (1) year or more of experience in information technology
Preferred Qualifications
(Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the
qualifications listed, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience):
· Experience with managing technology assets
· Experience gathering requirements from business owners or end users
· Experience creating spreadsheets detailing asset information
· Experience with Okta
COMPENSATION/WORKER TYPE/ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Target Hiring Salary: *$59,800.00
Worker Type: Hybrid – (in-office: 2-3 days per week)
*Current Georgia state government employees will be subject to SPB rule provisions.
