Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, Office of - OCI

Under direct supervision, the Financial Analysis Manager oversees the day-to-day assignments of the Financial Analysts and contract staff within the Insurance Financial Oversight department. 

Coordinates review changes relating to risk-bearing entities while maintaining the consistent application of the uniform prioritization system.

Approves recommendations for prioritization changes of insurance and insurance-related entities while working with examination staff to develop an ongoing supervisory plan and updates to analysis work product.

Ensures staff and contractors obtain, review, and analyze annual and quarterly insurer financial statements and all related supplemental regulatory filings.

Ensures staff and contractors obtain, review, and analyze information from other sources relevant to the current and prospective financial solvency of insurers and/or groups.

Facilitates the distribution and presentation of results of analysis to others while coordinating personnel.

Oversees investigations and determinations of licensed entities are following state laws, rules, regulations and NAIC standards and guidelines.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, including one (1) year in a managerial or supervisory role in the area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Financial Examiner Spv (RCP113) or position equivalent.
