DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

 

This position is assigned to the following county:

 

·        BACON

 

Applicant must reside in this county or surrounding area or be willing to relocate.

 

 

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under supervision, audits and analysis of corporate practices for Warehouse and Bonding and other businesses to detect and remediate fraud, malfeasance, or licensing issues.

·        Examines and analyzes insurance forms and policies to determine compliance with the rules, regulations, laws, and underwriting practices.

·        Investigate complaints against companies, businesses, and agents.

·        Investigated consumer complaints of fraud or abuse.

·        Performs investigations, audits, and examinations according to established rules and regulations and other statutes.

·        Researched and analyzed state codes, federal regulations, and industry manuals regarding forms, policies, and procedures.

·        Researched and assisted in the formulating of proposed legislation.

·        Reviews applications for accuracy and compliance with guidelines, regulations, and laws.

·        Reviews rates and charges to determine if they are adequate, equitable, meet actuarial soundness, and not excessive.

·        Review transactions. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Experience working in the grain or cotton industry. 

·        Must be physically able to climb structures with a minimum height of 30 feet. 

·        Intermittent periods of walking, squatting, kneeling, or driving; exposure to the outdoor elements for extended periods.

Associate degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of job-related experience; or three (3) years of job-related experience.
