About McIntosh Trail

At McIntosh Trail Community Service Board, we offer individuals experiencing symptoms associated with mental illness, addictive disease and/or developmental disability the hope for optimal functioning and recovery by providing quality behavioral health services and supports.

Summary

Under general supervision, supports the billing operations for the agency.

Responsibilities

·        Responsible for supporting billing operations through insurance verification, eligibility checks, and accounts payable follow-up.

·        Assists with claim resolution, patient billing and financial counseling.

·        Provides support to site staff on payer requirements and contributes to accurate and timely reimbursement.

Minimum Qualifications:

·        High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or revenue cycle operations.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or related field

·        One to three years’ experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or revenue cycle operations

·        Experience using Inovalon, Avality Essentials, GAMMIS, or similar eligibility and billing systems

Experience in behavioral health or a public healthcare setting is preferred.

 

High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of job-related billing or bookkeeping experience.
