The Georgia Department of Agriculture functions as a regulatory agency, a consumer protection agency, and a marketing agency with over 20 different divisions and a wide regulatory scope that includes everything from production agriculture to fuel sales to food safety and consumer protection. In many ways, we are the only agency that impacts all 11 million Georgians every single day – from the gas pump to the grocery store and everywhere in between. Enrolls, instructs, and supervises adult education students;
Provides contextualized adult education instruction for career pathways classes in collaboration with industry instructors;
Instructs workplace literacy classes for local employers, including English language instruction and/or basic skills instruction to meet the specific needs of employees;
Develops program and course outlines adhering to the Technical College System of Georgia Curriculum framework;
Evaluates and documents student progress in attaining goals and objectives;
Develops teaching methods and maintains classroom management procedures and documentation;
Assists with recruitment and retention;
Ensures safety and security requirements are met;
Attends in-service training, workshops, seminars and conferences

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
