GRHS is seeking candidates for the position of Admin Support 2 -1st shift – Admissions/ Temporary Observation Unit. This position will work 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

 

FOR THIS TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT, STATE LAW REQUIRES A NATIONAL AND STATE BACKGROUND CHECK AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. 

 

Job Description

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides clerical support to the Admissions Unit
  • Assists with the observation / monitoring of adult individuals with mental health issues
  • Registers individuals, obtaining demographic information and obtaining consents and insurance information
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of computer software
  • Operates multiple-line phone system
  • Learns new software programs
  • Communicates with staff, individuals, and outside customers
  • Works in Avatar and the electronic Behavioral Health Link (BHL) Board for referrals made to GA Regional Hospital at Savannah
  • Obtains vital signs on Adult Mental Health individuals.

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the State qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following skills/experience:

  • High school diploma with at least 2 years’ clerical experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience working in Outlook emailing and calendaring
  • Extensive internet skills and knowledge
  • Experience with PeopleSoft a plus but not required
  • Experience working in Avatar a plus but not required
  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good phone etiquette, message-taking, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented and excellent follow-through skills.

Employment Requirements
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees, individuals and communities we serve, certain positions within DBHDD may require evaluations, vaccinations, professional licensure and certifications. Licenses must be current and enable providers to practice within the State of Georgia. 

The following are a listing of evaluations and vaccinations that may be required for employees, including those not involved with direct care:

  • Drug Screening
  • TB Evaluation
  • Annual Influenza*

*Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.
