Institutional Effectiveness Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

The Institutional Effectiveness Specialist supports the institution’s planning, research, accreditation, and evaluation functions. This position assists with data collection and analysis, institutional assessment, accreditation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives that ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.

Major Duties:

  • Participate in the design, development, and implementation of institutional planning, evaluation, and research processes.

  • Review institutional planning and evaluation documents; collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.

  • Support accreditation reporting and site visit preparation, including gathering evidence, organizing documentation, and preparing compliance reports.

  • Use database, statistical, and spreadsheet software to collect, evaluate, and report data; create tables, charts, infographics, and dashboards.

  • Provide technical assistance and monitor federal program compliance.

  • Update institutional policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university

Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of evaluation and planning processes and applicable federal and state laws.

  • Understanding of accreditation requirements and procedures.

  • Proficiency with statistical, database, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

  • Skill in operating computers and job-related software programs.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with the public.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks.

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (in addition to minimum qualifications & competencies):

  • Two or more years of experience in institutional research or data analysis.

  • Experience using tools and applications such as Intellimas, PowerBI, SharePoint, and Watermark.
