Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Georgia Department of - DBHDD
  • Under general supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities. 
  • Maintains supplies as needed. Cleans and straightens assigned areas. 
  • Collects, sorts, launders, transports and distributes linens and uniforms. 
  • Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition. 
  • Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed. 
  • May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair. 
  • Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse. 
  • Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment. Participates in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items. 
  • Presses and store all linens
One (1) year of experience in related area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or position equivalent.
