Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Georgia Department of - DBHDD
  • Under general supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities. 
  • Maintains supplies as needed. 
  • Cleans and straightens assigned areas. 
  • Collects, sorts, launders, transports and distributes linens and uniforms. 
  • Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition. 
  • Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed. 
  • May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair. 
  • Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse. 
  • Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment. 
  • Participates in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items. 
  • Presses and store all linens

  Employment Requirements
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees, individuals and communities we serve, certain positions within DBHDD may require evaluations, vaccinations, professional licensure and certifications. Licenses must be current and enable providers to practice within the State of Georgia.

 The following are a listing of evaluations and vaccinations that may be required for employees, including those not involved with direct care:

One (1) year of experience in related area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or position equivalent.
