About McIntosh Trail

At McIntosh Trail Community Service Board, we offer individuals experiencing symptoms associated with mental illness, addictive disease and/or developmental disability the hope for optimal functioning and recovery by providing quality behavioral health services and supports.

Summary

Oversees the planning and management of the billing functions for the agency.

Responsibilities

·        Ability to track, forecast and explain revenue cycles. Comfortable with various analysis, budgeting and financing reporting.

·        Proficient in using billing software, EMR’s and financial reporting tools.

·        In-depth understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance rules, including coverage policies, prior authorizations, and reimbursement structures.

·        Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS coding, EOB’s and denials management.

·        Ability to analyze complex billing data and identify trends, discrepancies and errors.

·        Preparing monthly revenue reports for leadership, strong problem-solving capabilities, investigates denials and develop correction actions, resourceful in finding solutions to claim issues, able to adapt to payer changing rules, healthcare policies and reporting needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

·        High School Diploma or GED AND Five years of experience supervising staff responsible for billing, budget or accounting activities OR Two years of experience required at the lower-level Billings Spec 3 (FIP072) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

·        Proven success with providing exemplary customer service, problem solving, and working independent.

·        At least three years of experience as a Billing Specialist 3 (FIP072) or an equivalent position within billing.

·        Supervisory experience.
