Under direct supervision, performs a wide range of office administration duties for assigned functions or program areas, duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. May research, investigate, and/or resolve program data or issues. Drafts documentation, reports, or presentations. Represents program or unit, provides information and assistance to internal and external customers. Provides administrative support to assigned area. Provides assistance and problem resolution to claimants, employers, staff, other agencies, and/or the general public. Provides program, administrative, and/or technical assistance and interpretation Researches and resolves detailed program or client issues/questions and prepares documents. Provides program, administrative, and/or technical assistance to customers and staff. Researches and/or resolves program or client issues or questions May represent the manager in various matters. Supports routine administrative functions for the agency/office, such as travel expenses, car rentals, leases, vendors, contracts, telecommunications, building security, purchasing, billing/credit, inventory, property control, personnel, payroll, and etc. Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

GST050- Administrative Assistant 1 

High school diploma/GED AND Two years of job-related experience. 

 

 

GST051-Administrative Assistant 2 

High school diploma/GED AND Three (3) years of job-related experience. OR One (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Administrative Assistant 1 (GST050) or position equivalent.

 

 

 GST052- Administrative Assistant 3 

High school diploma/GED AND Four (4) years of job-related experience. OR Two (2) years of experience required at the lower-level Administrative Assistant 2 (GST051) or position equivalent.

 

 

Preference may be given to applicants with knowledge of general office equipment, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), and electronic file management. Experience with web-based applications; good oral and written communication skills in technical matters; and demonstrated ability to complete assignments in an efficient and accurate manner; ability to work well with others as a team

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related experience.
