POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Analyst under the direction of the IT Systems Manager is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
- Transform data across multiple formats.
- Mining data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing the data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine.
- Using statistical tools to interpret datasets.
- Automate data retrieval, transformation, etc. and produce reports and visualizations.
- Collaborating with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance. Understand data relationships and structures
- Partake in data cleanup and optimization
- Documenting and maintaining data dictionaries
- Producing various reports and validating accurate data.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement database security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Ability to work onsite in downtown Atlanta, Ga with the potential of remote work two days a week (depending on business needs).
- Contribute to the safe, fair, and secure elections for the citizens of Georgia.
- Candidate must be a US citizen
- Will participate in on-call responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding and operational knowledge of SQL, SOSL, and SOQL queries
- Understanding and operational knowledge of Salesforce
- Familiarity with AWS RDS a plus
- Hands on familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Grafana, etc.
- Strong familiarity with a scripting and automation technology, which can include Powershell, Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
- Familiarity with automation/scheduling tools such as PowerAutomate, Apache Airflow, Windmill, etc.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Telegraf, InfluxDB, Zabbix, etc. a plus
- Familiarity with a statistical language like R..
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, etc.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
- Advanced ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.

- AS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or another related field.
- Two to three years of verifiable experience in data analysis, Information Technology, database administration, or a related field.
- Experience in a hybrid Windows & Linux environment a plus.
- Experience with database technologies (MS SQL required, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, etc. a plus) Experience with Salesforce and SOQL/SOSL queries.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce) a plus.
- Valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on data analysis and Salesforce data querying.
